Is that trick knee still bothering you?
Mine is.
With the upcoming ski season I am both excited and dreading the snowy cold-wet weather. I always felt that my knees and ankles were somewhat of a barometer for incoming weather patterns. I like to play hard and party hard, but I think both activities have taken their toll on my body, especially my knees. In the past I've tried all types of supplements to help alleviate the pain and ache. Chondroitin Sulfate, ascorbic acid aka vitamin C, and others have passed through my medicine cabinet. After reading some articles on neoherbal.com I am looking at some of the antioxidants used to fight aging. I guess our body ages faster than we think or would like . A lot of times its our diet and lifestyle.
Consider the analogy of a fillet mignon to a top round steak at the local grocery. What's more tender? The parts in our body are very similar where the "toughness" is proportional to the oxidative stress they are exposed to over time. The less flexible something is the more likely there is to be pain and damage. But I am looking at damage control. What can I take or incorprate into my diet to help with the acheness and inflamation.
An old grama's remedy seems viable; a tablespoon of apple-cider with 2 tablespoons of honey in a glass of warm water. It seems to help a little but I can't tell if its subliminal or placebo effect. More on this later
